EMDR Trauma Therapy
Many people seem to believe that unless you’ve experienced trauma with a big “T”, you aren’t eligible to seek relief from discomfort. Whether it's the result of a single traumatic event or a series of smaller incidents, the effects of trauma can be long-lasting and pervasive. As your therapist, I believe that everyone is deserving of relief from discomfort, regardless of the nature or severity of their trauma.
I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a highly effective modality for treating trauma. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. It helps individuals process and integrate traumatic memories, reducing their lingering effects and enabling healing. By utilizing bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, EMDR helps reprocess disturbing memories, allowing the brain to resume its natural healing process.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Life can be overwhelming, and it's not always easy to manage difficult emotions, self-harm behaviors, or a history of suicide attempts. With my expertise in DBT, we can work on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment to help you explore and understand your emotions. We will focus on developing mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills to help you manage your emotions in a healthy way. Through therapeutic mindfulness, we will work on cultivating awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations, so you can observe them without judgment or reaction. With improved emotional regulation, you will develop the ability to regulate your emotions and prevent them from taking over.
